Website relaunched, finally.

I’m happy to say that I have finally made a start at relaunching my website. Check out the new www.arvindkrishnamoorthy.com. It has new meaning as a place where I can showcase some of my photography and make it easy, for those who are interested, to get in touch with me. I’d love some feedback and if you have some please write to me at mailme@arvindkrishnamoorthy.com.

I’m hoping I can keep the momentum going on the website and keep the content updated and engaging. Thanks!

It’s been a while

Yup, laziness. And it isn’t time for redemption yet but maybe I will write one on my vacation starting in a few days. So many things to look forward to on this break, its going to be amazing.

Anyways here is a cool video I came across. A father and son team send an iPhone to space and back and capture the whole thing on video. Nice experiment!

Here is the article.

Remember Minority Report?

Spatial UI is where we are headed. TV controls, gaming, assisted shopping will probably see this first.

The technology behind Avatar

Virtual cameras and fusion cameras. Motion capture + 3D rendering + photorealism. Astounding.

Hulu and now Vevo

Vevo.com is a step by music labels to take back some control of the music business value chain. iTunes and other distribution channels such as Youtube have taken away a lot of this power and music labels want this back by going directly to consumers. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
